Sections of the body of the epididymis of a monkey.

In this species the epithelial cells sitting on the limiting membrane (M), composed of myoid cells, are regular in height, but their nuclei are located at varying levels in their cytoplasm. At their apices they have fascicles of long non-motile microvilli (V) that reach the clustered spermatozoa (Sz).
