15.37 Seminal vesicle

Small field of the mucosa of the seminal vesicle.

The folds of this mucosa are composed of a thin layer of well-vascularized connective tissue or lamina propria (LP). This connective tissue is lined with a simple columnar epithelium (E) composed of glandular cells.

The smooth muscle fibres of the tunica muscularis (M) are indicated on the left.
