These ducts are bounded by a limiting membrane (M) composed of contractile myoid cells.

The efferent ducts are lined with a simple columnar epithelium of varying heights composed of ciliated and non-ciliated cells (see details in Figure 15.24).

The epididymal duct is lined with a single layer of epithelium composed of tall columnar cells of identical height. Their apices show fascicles of long microvilli (arrows).
