Transverse sections through the same coiled seminal vesicle.

The thick mucosa is made up of numerous anastomotic folds (arrows).

The spaces that they delimit are all interconnected and open into a central lumen (*).

This mucosa is surrounded by a thin tunica muscularis (M) typically composed of smooth muscle fibres.
