This field shows sections of numerous coiled uterine glands which have distended lumina (G) in the superficial zone (+).

The lamina propria of the dense basophilic basal zone (*) shows the narrow bases of the uterine glands.

There is no sharp borderline between the superficial and the basal zones.

The myometrium (My) is also labelled.
