    9.13   Skin: Duct of a sweat gland Version française
This field shows the extension of a duct of a sweat gland of a monkey, from the epidermal epithelium (top right) to the dermis (bottom left).

In this skin the duct of the gland shows a layer of basal cells with melanin pigment granules (arrows). Next to the lumen of the duct, a layer of flattened epithelial cells contain basophilic keratohyalin granules (arrowheads) characteristic of the stratum granulosum.
