The present chapter provides a detailed description of the histological structure of the eye.

The section on the eye contains histological images of the eye and adnexa (i.e., eyelids and lacrimal glands).

The structures of the eye are presented in the following order: onjunctiva, cornea, ciliary body with its ciliary processes, iris, lens, retina, choroid, sclera and optic nerve.

At the beginning of this section, two drawings are included to help readers understand the locations of the various parts of the organs shown in the histological images.
