The acidophils (A) are stained orange-red, the basophils (B) are stained blue and the chromophobes (C) are stained pale blue. A group of glandular cells, mainly acidophils, form an epithelium around a central lumen filled with a colloid (Co) stained blue. The connective tissue (*) and a small vessel (V) are also identified. Stain: Aniline Blue-Orcein
