Parmi les cellules glandulaires on peut en identifier trois types:

  • Acidophiles (A) qui sécrètent l’hormones somatotrope ou la prolactine
  • Basophiles (B) qui sécrètent les hormones thyréotropes
  • Corticotropes et gonadotropes
  • Cellules chromophobes (C) non colorées par l’hématoxyline et l’éosine

Deux petits vaisseaux (V) sont identifiés dans le tissu conjonctif.
