This field shows several types of hemopoietic cells (correlate with the drawings of cells in figures 7.8 and 7.12).

The following cells are labelled:

  • early and late basophilic erythroblasts, one of the late ones seen in mitosis
  • a late neutrophil myelocyte
  • an erythroblast

Also identified are some small lymphocytes showing a small dense nucleus surrounded by a thin rim of basophilic cytoplasm.
