Une épaisse couche de mucus (*) recouvre l’épithélium pseudo-stratifié (E).

La lamina propria sous-jacente montre des coupes transversales de fibres élastiques (El) qui forment une couche épaisse.

Dans le tissu conjonctif plus profond quelques fibres élastiques (flèches), orientées longitudinalement, sont visibles parmi les fibres de collagène acidophiles.
